Christa Harden has been running MXC Media since 2015 and has installed over 1000 signs, wraps and decals. She is always looking to improve her skills and expand services available for her clients.
Educational
Christa has enjoyed a variety of educational experiences ranging from art school to community college to state university. She earned her Associate of Arts in Commercial Photography from the Art Institute of Seattle in 2003. After pursuing work as an intern she decided to continue her education and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Washington. These degrees gave her a strong foundation in art, design and literature. Years later she would add to these skills with courses in Web Design and Graphic Design from Portland State University.
Work Experience
Christa has pursued creative work for the last 24 years and has touched upon many different industries.
Her initial interest in photography led to work in editing, web design and art reproduction while living in Los Angeles. When she decided to return to her home state of Washington she focused her talents on graphic design. Her expertise landed her a job working at a print and sign shop. While working here she expanded her skills to include production and installation.
After 5 years of working with her late husband, Mikalae Harden, they decided to start an installation company and leave the production to other shops. They grew the company together for 3 years until Mik’s tragic death in 2018. Since then Christa has continued the business on her own, building upon the foundation they laid together and never forgetting her partner in business in life.
Skills & Expertise
The majority of her time is spent hands-on installing vehicle wraps and signs, however she can easily pivot from coordinating vehicle drop offs to designing and adjusting files for production.
